Oldie But Goodie - Podcast 69: Alexander Ward

http://www.mediafire.com/file/p763coxgr0nqel1/NoveltyGenerators_ep061AlexanderWard.mp3

https://wardyworks.art/

On a side note with Alex, he's been diving a bit into Augmented Reality of late which can be seen at his website here. "Virtual Reality" is full world immersion and "Augmented Reality" is a changing or adjusting of what's in front of you. Either via headset but more commonly with smartphones since they have build in tracking capability. Both VR + AR will always be the 99 cent store version of the psychedelic experience of course. Here's a chat I did numerous years back on the subject for the Psychedelic Salon. https://psychedelicsalon.com/podcast-422-visualizing-the-psychedelic-experience-using-computer-graphics/

The works shared on this Patreon are what I am passionate about and, as always, thanks for your support regarding. However, they currently make less than minimum wage. So one day job gig I do is freelancing with Tactic, a VR/AR studio in San Francisco which I am an occasional Creative Director for. All of the subject matter is bland corporate flat hollow fuzz yet brings in the dollars to have a living wage. Go figure.

One extra cool gig Tactic did which I give credit for is with a company called Rabble Wine to make AR labels for their bottles which have an alchemical feel and are kind of cool. Example video here. The point is the technology is there, so do we use it for mind expanding content or do we use it to sell crap sugar water? Bravo to Alex for using AR more consciously with subject matter that resonates with his personal mind expanded cosmology.

Emerald Tablet Guide

A break down of the difference between "The Emerald Tablet" and "The Emerald Tablet of Thoth The Atlantean."  The first is a foundational Hermetic text and the other is a new age work which has some juicy stuff in it but the authorship is fishy. Thus this is a good lesson in decernment.

https://adeptinitiates.com/emerald-tablets-thoth-emerald-tablet-definitive-guide/

I recently realized I mis-labeled "The Emerald Tablet" as "The Emerald Tablet of Thoth The Atlantean" on my recommended reading list. Correction has been made there. Always a student!

Book Share: Hermetic Alchemy Science And Practice

In an effort to always continue to make your patronage worth while, we're going to start sharing digital (e-book) PDF and audiobook versions of books from the recommended reading list with $10/month patrons directly here. I of course would not do this with works of modern authors who earn income royalties off their creations, so these will likely always be from authors who have exited their meat bodies.

The PDF's are usually easily finable online. Often via archive.org

Since philosophical or esoteric books are quite dense and hard to read, audiobook listening has been very life-transformative on this end and perhaps for you as well. Yet audiobook versions of these works are non existant so I create them myself from the PDF's using the technique mentioned in this blog post Reading Through Your Ears. As there are many excuses the student can output for not reading during our busy modern lives, yet little excuses for not being able to listen.

Our first share begins with the brain melting "Hermetic Alchemy Science And Practice" by the incredible Paul Foster Case. Here it is:

Artists Who Left Secrets

Thomas Cole--The Angel Appearing to the Shepherds.1833-34.jpg

Thomas Cole - The Angel Appearing to the Shepherds.1833-34.

Here's a list of artists who left secrets embedded in their artworks. Leonardo da Vinci is the classic one, secretly painting a brain in the Creation of Adam for example. My take on that is to highlight the mental construct of the universe veiled through Catholic dogma.

These secret codes were either occulted into artworks because they are too juicy to just put forward straight up, or in the alchemical tradition, because the deeper subconscious information can not be portrayed so much in words but more through symbol.

This is the beginnings of a list which I'll keep adding to and adjusting at this post here through time. Sharing as well with those who have eyes to see. Much to discuss regarding.

Matthäus Merian
Arnold Böcklin

Trivium Education

trivium_front_tile-960x3001.jpg

http://www.triviumeducation.com/

A liberal arts education gives the (wo)man the tools they need to teach themselves. Hence, it gives them the tools for a real education.

General Grammar, Aristotelian Logic, and Classical Rhetoric comprise the first three rules-based subjects of the 7 Liberal Arts and Sciences. As these disciplines are learned and practiced together, they form the overarching, symbiotic system for establishing clarity and consistency of personal thought called the Trivium.

Much more of this to be discussed in the future.

A Future Feature Length Documentary Project

OAoM_poster_v015noCred.jpg

We have a future feature length documentary stewing in the cauldron. It's an adaptation of Manly P Hall's book Occult Anatomy of Man, which is highly recommended to check out. Here's an early poster idea without credit block adapted from Augustus Knapp - One of Hall's artistic collaborators. That's not a Star of David but an upside down and ride side up triangle. Indicating the spiritual moving down to the material and vice versa, or six rayed star.

This book give fantastic insights into man's relationship with the cosmos and the as within so without correlations to that. As their is so much we have forgotten about the temple of (wo)man in human form.

This isn't the only feature brewing but wanted to throw this out as one which I think I can get done sometime in the next 5 years. Ha! As making feature length film projects is a massive time commitment. And the way I want to do this will be quite achievable with the current resources.

Anyway, more always coming down the pipe. Excerpts for Shamans of the Global Village episode 2 posting here in the near distant future for early preview as well. As always, thanks so much for your support and for caring about the works. Which on this end sometimes feels like throwing a kleenex into the Grand Canyon.

Essay: A Question of Velocity (Exclusive for Patrons)

AnInfinitePath_Thumbnails_v005_essay_AQuestionOfVelocity.jpg

First of all, a slight disclaimer on this one. Talk of a "dimensional shift" can be very WOO WOO sounding, not to mention dissociative and "anti enrealment". Especially in regards to the ecological crisis. From this perspective, it's more to be considered esoterically and even more importantly felt in terms of evolution over deep time.

Also, these spoken word essays came about out of a series of spoken word on camera talking head essays I did for a while in 2017. All though its nice to be seen, they were later turned into and continued as audio only for ease of editing purposes and to not be subservient to a single video platform. Much like an old Alan Watt's lecture from the 70's, mp3 files are easier to spread and store long term. These spoken word essays have been a great outlet of expression and are an example of being forced to become a better writer by putting words down which one is passionate about. The spoken component has always been the intended final destination because the voice is the best mode of communication. As more folks are willing to listen than to read these days.

So regarding the origins of the writing a note on authorship... The majority of these essays are written by yours truly. At lease 3 out of 4. However, as a dyslexia brain and a slow writer, I have probably about 50 more of them in a somewhat yet to be completed phase. Yet, in an effort to make them a bit more regularly occurring, I will occasionally speak the words of others or highly edit the words of others. Several past essays derived from a friend named Maxwell Akin for example. An amazing young homeschool Jedi who I've helped out a bit here and there and who's Medium posts sound like a younger and wiser version of myself. This specific essay is a 5 to 10 year old essay from my colleague Neil Kramer which he no longer shares but is too good to pass up in this format. Thus, if something is truly exceptional and meaningful with resonance, I will also share it through my voice with co-credit always being given. Sharing here or perhaps in potential future essay collections more privately.

Oldie But Goodie - Podcast 59: Andrea Hartmann, Amanda Hodge, & Elfreda Pretorius

A wine & Skype story time telling of the life-changing events which happened to Niles around the creation of the pilot episode of the show Shamans of the Global Village. This one is a good companion to episode 88 with Mark Nara as it contains a more detailed discussion referenced in that discussion regarding galactivation.

Trace Mineral Drops

Am starting an essay on the dynamics of drinking the best water possible. Until that time take a gander at trace mineral drops. https://traceminerals.com/concentrace-trace-mineral-drops/

If we live more rural and have a pure well or mountain spring that's perfect, but for the vast majority, we're probably dealing with a local municipalities water, which can be less than perfect. Filtering or structuring is key but here's a simple product I've found really beneficial in addition to filtering which can be easily dropped into any drinking water before consumption. As it’s impossible to overestimate the importance of minerals and trace minerals for the human body.

Podcast 88: Mark Nara - The Energetics and Ancient Art Form of Marking Skin (Extended for Patrons)

Mark Nara on the intention, spiritual practice, and ancient art form of marking skin, function over fashion, traditional artistic expression through tattooing in various cultures, life level-ups via connection to the sacred, and in the nearly hour long extension for patrons, deeper esoteric and magical aspects of tattooing, coded art, and Niles' idea for a tattoo motivated from his galactivation.

Timeless thoughts are more relevant than ever:

"I mean, it's okay to live like there's no tomorrow if you're at some primitive stage of culture with endless frontiers of exploitable resources in all directions. That's not where we're at. We have burned through all that, and yet still we party on. And the signs are on the wall. We have invented a sin that no other culture ever even conceived of: it's the sin of looting the future. No other culture was ever so narcissistic and self-indulgent that it cared nothing for the future of its children. Children have always been the value focus for a civilization. But when you pile up four trillion dollars in debt, when you cut down the rainforests and blow off the atmosphere, it means you are in the grip of such an orgy of narcissistic excess that the best thing for it would be for somebody to just walk over and put a bullet through your head as a favor to everybody else. We don't need that kind of a fate. We need to be as noble as the people who preceded us, and a hell of a lot smarter, because nobility by itself is not sufficient. We're going to have to play a very cagey game now. And it's okay with me; I anticipate it. I mean, I think primates love a hell of a good fight, and we've got one on our hands. I mean, we have unleashed processes that, if not skilfully controlled, are extraordinarily terminal - even in the short term."

- Terence McKenna

Ralph Metzner's Last Interview

Here's an interview Rak Razam and I did with Ralph Metzner. A German-born American psychologist, writer and researcher, who participated in psychedelic research at Harvard University in the early 1960s with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (Ram Dass)

In this, which to our knowledge is his last recorded interview, he discusses his book The Toad & the Jaguar and his groundbreaking work with the molecule of 5-MeO-DMT. This interview is releasing now under the context of WBAC (the World Bufo Alvarius Congress) but we might use it in a future documentary feature as well.
